Spring has sprung, which means it's festival season in New Orleans! With so many things going on, we'll be featuring periodic blog posts with highlights of the city's happenings to keep you informed!

Here's what's on tap for this weekend, 04/06 - 04/08:

The Freret Street Festival (Saturday, April 7th) - This annual, free neighborhood festival takes over the Freret Street corridor from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 7th! With three music stages, 150 regional vendors, and 50 festival food vendors spanning from Napoleon Street to Valmont Street, there's something for everyone here! Bring the whole family! Mardi Gras Indians will kick off this family-friendly-festival with a second line parade. Check out the festival's website here: www.freretstreetfestival.org.

Delgado Music Festival (Friday, April 6th & Saturday, April 7th) - Another free admission festival with some awesome musical acts! Rockin’ Dopsie Jr., Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Sunpie & the Louisiana Sunspots are among the artists taking the stage at the second annual Delgado Music Festival. The two-day fest takes over Delgado’s City Park Campus from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. All concession proceeds benefit the college’s music program! Check out the festival's website here: http://www.dcc.edu/music-fest/default.aspx

Mudbugs & Music Festival (Sunday, April 8th) - This is the first annual Mudbugs & Music festival, presented by Ugly Dog Saloon and Team Gleason! Come out from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday and enjoy crawfish and beer while Marc Broussard performs at the Ugly Dog Saloon’s Warehouse District location. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Gleason Initiative Foundation. A $30 ticket (plus applicable fees) will get you three pounds of crawfish, two draft pints and entry for live music.
